Adi Lukovac (1970 – June 18, 2006) was a Bosnian musician, best known as the pioneer of electronic music in Bosnia and Herzegovina and leader of the Bosnian industrial band Adi Lukovac & The Ornaments.

Lukovac founded band Ornamenti (The Ornaments) during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina 1992. In 1996 he was founded label Post War Sound Records (PWS). With band Ornamenti, two albums were recorded: Pomjeranja (Movements) in 1999 and Fluid in 2001. He was also worked on many other music project as solo artist.

On June 18, 2006, Lukovac died in car accident near town Blažuj, Bosnia and Herzegovina.[2]

Biography

Adi Lukovac was borned 1970 in Sarajevo. He attended High School of Tourism and Catering in Sarajevo and later he attended on University of Sarajevo. First he studied Philosophy and later Economics but he never graduated on University.[3] His first musical experience is related to band Base Line, first Bosnian electronic-experimental band. Band was recorded a demo tape on the beginning of the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In 1992 he founded band Ornamenti his main musical project. Soon they began to make a success, in 1993 their song "Rock Under Siege" is used for title of music compilation of Radio Zid.[4] By the end of the war they recorded their first demo tape Na dan naše smrti (On the day of our deaths).

After war, Adi founded label "Post War Sound Records". In 1999 they released their first album named Pomjeranja (Movements). The album made a great success so band became very popular on former Yugoslavian alternative scene. They have also collaborated with Dino Merlin on his album Sredinom.

His last album with Ornamenti was Fluid released 2001. Album was released for the international scene. It was produced by Sony Austria and released under Gramfon and PWS Records in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In Italy album was released by EMI.

One of the his most important project is soundtrack for the movie Remake. It was Adi's last music project and most successful.

Adi died June 18, 2006, in car accident near town Blažuj, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
